Which cameras work, and how.

Tendline only connects through doors camera companies have opened to outside apps, or through files and feeds you send yourself. Here is exactly where each brand stands.

Camera support today

Camera support, November 2026
CameraStatusHow it connects
RingDoorbells and cameras In development Through Ring’s official partner program. Not live yet. It’s built around Ring’s own sign-in screen: Tendline receives motion events and still frames, never your password.
Any cameraAny brand, any model With early access Upload a clip or a photo. Tendline reads it and answers the same questions a routine would: what’s there, is the door open, is the package still out. The free plan includes 10 a day.
Home Assistant, Frigate, Blue Iris, ScryptedAny camera those support With early access A private push URL. Point an automation at it to send a snapshot when something moves, or on a schedule for look-checks. Whatever camera your setup can see, Tendline can read. Setup guide.
UniFi ProtectUbiquiti Planned A direct connection is planned. Until then, UniFi cameras work through Home Assistant or by upload.
Google Nest, Wyze, eufy, Blink, Arlo Not supported These companies don’t offer a way for apps like Tendline to connect today. We won’t work around that. If they open access, we’ll add them. You can still upload clips and photos from any of them.

Ring, Nest, Wyze, eufy, Blink, Arlo, UniFi and the other names here belong to their owners. Tendline isn’t affiliated with any of them.

We never ask for your camera password.

Some apps get at cameras by logging in as you, with your username and password. Tendline doesn’t, and never will.

The Ring connection is built around Ring’s own sign-in screen, and you can disconnect Tendline at any time. With uploads and push URLs, you decide exactly which frames Tendline sees.

If a page or a message ever asks you to type a camera password into Tendline, it isn’t us.

What makes routines work well

Tendline can only report what a camera can see. A few things make a big difference.

Point it at the thing

A routine about the front door needs a camera that sees the front door. Bins at the curb need a view of the curb. Tendline will tell you if a camera can’t see what a routine asks about.

Wired beats battery for look-checks

Battery cameras usually only record when something moves. At 10 PM there may be no recent frame of the garage, and Tendline will say “no fresh image” rather than answer from an old one.

Light at night

Infrared works for doors and shapes. Very dark or washed-out frames come back as “can’t tell”. A porch light helps more than any setting.

Coverage watch is on every plan, including Free: a heads-up when a camera goes offline, goes silent, or is too dark to read at the times your routines need it.

End-to-end encrypted cameras. If you’ve turned on end-to-end encryption for a camera, its video can’t be read by any outside app, including Tendline. That camera will show as “couldn’t see” in alerts and briefs. That’s expected, and your choice to make.

Join the early list

Tendline isn’t open yet. Leave your email and tell us what you’d use it for. We’ll write when there’s something you can try, and we won’t use your address for anything else.

The free plan will stay free. Joining the list costs nothing and commits you to nothing.

What would you use it for?
Which cameras?

If the button doesn’t respond, email admin1@sovnode.ai with “early list” in the subject and we’ll add you.
